Greetings everyone, I know that for most of us the Frigidaire products from when WCI acquired the brand are the worst, but I found this model on Facebook Marketplace and it seemed quite strange to me.

It has a control panel very similar to the GM 1-18, but also very similar to the WCI Horizon. It has the Westinghouse tub and agitator as well as the lid and bleach dispenser, but the lint filter is like the infamous "Bed of Nails" or the later GM one.

My questions for you are the following: What year is this model? Is it based on the Westinghouse or Franklin platform? Was the performance good with that agitator and is it worth buying for collection and sporadic use?

Looking forward for your comments.

Thank you Jesus Rafael

I’d go for it too.

I’ve always liked these WCI machines. Sure, they weren’t the most reliable machines ever built, but man, did they wash good. When I first joined AW back in 2019, I ran a performance test on a number of different machines with ketchup stains, and a little WCI Kenmore stacked unit from 1989 was able to hang with the Whirlpool direct drives (dual action agitator) and extremely well programmed Wascomat coin op front loaders in terms of performance. In fact, I wound up getting several people to blindly look at the towels, and on average, they voted that Kenmore as the best. Besides, the indexing tub is really fun to watch. You can always sell it off if you decide you don’t like it.
