That's going to look so good in your kitchen, Bill . The price was certainly great and the clean owner's manual is a testament to how well they took care of this stove. Congrats!
And the last model with the French doors! I also like the control panel on the 1961 very much.
I have the 1962 version which lost the French doors and the storage drawer trim. The only improvement on the 1962 was the broiler grill control that was back after a one year absence on the 30" Custom Imperial. The addition of this control required to paint the lower part of the control panel in gray, instead of leaving it clear, which in addition to the clock makes it less visually interesting than the 1961 control panel.
I wish I had a 1961 range like yours to match with my 1961 refrigerator. 1961 was the last year that Frigidaire matched the storage drawers of their ranges with the lower panel of their fridges.
Bill - that is one yellow beauty you found!! Congrats - so glad it is going to a good home!! Wishing you many great years of wonderful cooking on your "new" Frigidaire range!!
