Well I have no business buying a portable machine, no faucet to connect it to, connector won’t go... but it’s so nice and vintage that I didn’t say no. I’m going to pick it up tomorrow after work.

I’m excited to get this thing home, find out a way to hook it up and fill it’s with tomorrow night’s dirty dinnerware. I’m probably going to keep it at a family member’s house for a bit until I have a place for it to live, it’ll have to live in the basement, far from the dirty dishes it lives for, but I’ll install a special free standing tub sink. But it’ll be fun.

I definitely want I’ll get one of these at some point! Always thought it was a nicer way to do it than tie up the main faucet! I was really after an undercounter machine, really wanted a one wash arm machine, just for the experience of it all. At least this way I won’t have to worry about anyone messing up my vintage machine!

I believe it! I ran this one empty, after we gave the outside a good scrub and wipe, empty with a bottle of liquid dishwasher cleaner. It sounded like a hurricane, (Hurricane in a Box!) and when you put your hand on the lid it felt like there was a fire hose blasting the other side! Ran two loads of dishes in it, and Tim's brother in law said some of them were cleaner than they have ever been, not a film in sight! Used some powered Cascade and filled the Jet Dry dispenser up. Wanted the full experience! Next time I'm going to see what a Finish tablet does! So far its been a total thrill to use. Makes me want a one-arm built in machine even more, but now I can be patient and wait for the stainless tub machine that I really want.

Aferim!

These are beautiful and competent little machines. I had one of these in a small apartment and wish I had kept it. And to find one in a vintage porcelain color with a butcher-block top is a win win win!

There's a lot of literature in Ephemera for these dishwashers.

Went over and ran a light load of fairly filthy dishes, and put what I thought were a couple of risky items on the lower rack. Still had to love things around, getting used to how things fit in such a machine... third load of dishes so far, and all have come out spotless!

Finally got a chance to really load up the dishwasher with some really dirty dishes, I may have been able to get more in there, but this was everything but a big strainer that I literally had no room for if I wanted everything else to be in there. Aunt was mortified at how dirty I let the dishes go into this thing. But was impressed when she saw them come out spotless!

Also thought I’d mention I did get the brochure for this, was fun to see! Also the service manual, I was wanting to see how the pump was put together with the drain pump and wash pump arrangement. I didn’t actually take mine apart, I just wanted to see the pictures in the manual..

WOW!

That's some load!! I'm curious, did the stuff in the top rack above those bowls (front left) get clean? That's stretching the one arm wonder even further than I would and I thought I push the limits!! Looks like a fun machine to play with.

Everything came out clean! There was one thing that fliptover that was right aboveboard those bowls that I decided wasn’t quite clean, but it does always try and rearrange the upper rack for you...

Oh my, looks like my clumsy thumbs and a swarthy autocorrect got me on that last post...

But yes, I’ve been trying see how far I can push this thing and still get sparkling dishes, I’ve tried to make at least one questionable loading on the bottom rack, and so far nothing has come out dirty because of it! It’s the true wonder of the one arm wonder!

Made my morning to see that I’ve achieved a proper BobLoad certified status, it always is fun to see how many truly filthy dishes one can get clean in one cycle!
