First repair on my electronic 90 series dryer.

I had this dryer for close to 10 years and never seen a repairman and he's not heating. All I know that I don't hear the normal click when the ignition is engaging.
So what a man to to?
Get on your knees an replace the ignition!

I just hope that is all!
No codes shows on the control panel, so I hope that this is the cause of this little malfunction!

John, it took me a while but I found it!

Since the front cover is off, I've taken the liberty to clean the lint duct assembly and the blower wheel housing and it was very clean.
Just a slight build up where buttons would fall preventing blower wheel damage.
But overall the complete duct line is free and clear.

I will make it out to Sears for that inexpensive part!
Wish me luck and thanks for your help!

Larry,

Your welcome!!!!!!!!!! Always here to help. If the thermal fuse should trip again soon, you should also change the operating thermostat that is next to it (prolly has 4 wires?). Electronic 90 series dryers may have a 2 wire thermister instead. The thermal fuse cuts off power to the gas valve solenoids IF the operating thermostat does not cycle at the correct temp. This can also be caused by opening the door during a "heat on" cycle, say to remove an article of clothing before the cycle has finished. Static heat builds up in the exhaust housing and may trip the fuse before the operating thermo cycles. Glad it's working fine!!!
