How did we forget Martha Stewart? "Its a WONDERFUL thing". I still feel bad for her. The example, if thats what it was, is duly noted, IMHO. Ms Stewart stepped up to the plate, now let her GO. The first time I ever saw an LG was in a M.Stewart ad. I don't think it was for the LG product, but who could forget them.

Hello programcomputer

Yes, I remember Dinah singing See the USA on her television show. Seemed like it was on sunday evenings, vague memory.

I have a few other Car commercials with catchy jingles....

Hi,

I really cannot remember who was the artist. But It was a big song and was his only top hit. IT was called I "believe" "Singin the Blues"...

His lyric's were..."Well I've never felt more like singin the blues, cause' I never thought, that I'd ever loose; Your love dear, why did you do me this way..

Ford's 1957 jingle for televsion was:

Well I've never felt more like sing-in a ray, just drove a new Ford, and I'm here to say; it's all new, it's sure a new kind of Ford. Well no car for the dough, is a car so long. No car for the dough is so rugged and strong; and in Ford, you get a new kinda ride. The Frame in side this Ford is new, there's new Balljoint su-spen-sion too, they ride you oh so sweet and low, you'll never know there's bumps below...you'd never know... So just amble on down, the goin' is great; just pick you a six, or a Thunderbird 8. Come try Ford, It's sure a new kinda Fooooooooord....bum bum. See you Ford Dealers!

Another one was: DeSoto...for 1957

The most ex-ci-ting car today, is now de-li-ting the far hi-way's...It's DeLovely, It's DyNamic, It's De So-TOOO!

Another One was for : Edsel 1958

(Men's voices) Ladies? (Women's voices) and Gentleman? The Ford Mo-tor Com-Pan-Ney would like you to see. The new sty-ling, the new fea-tures, of the beatiful new Edsel...newest member of the Ford Family of Fine Car's.(Lady) Can We see it?....( man's voice) Certainly! You never saw a car like the 58' Edsel..(Lady) NEVER? (Guy) NEVER! More NEW Idea's, More YOU ideas, in the great exiting new Ed-SEL! Brake still on? You can tell in the Edsel when the light goes on! Engine Cold? You can tell in the Edsel when the light goes on! Getting Low on Gas? You can tell in the Edsel when the light goes on...

May we repeat...There's never been a car like the 58' Edsel...

One other Edsel Ad then I'll quit for now...

(An announcer speaks) What does it FEEL LIKE to own an Edsel? ( A woman say's seductivly)- "It's like falling in love"! You can read about it hear about it...but you've got to FEEEEL IT. (Man fingers a pushbutton on the steering hub)-DING... Feel the thrill of own-ning an ED-SEL; oh your step is snappy, when you own an Edsel, your pulse beats happy, when you drive an Edsel, cause' you've got to drive it , to fell what this great new car can do for you!!!! ( Lady cries out)YOU KNOW WHY? It's the car designed around YOU, from the Ford Family Of Fine Car's!!!!!!

You have to remember that car advertisement was just as big as appliance commercails back in this day. Millions were spent on Madison Avenue making these American dreams come true..and BTW except DeSoto, many car companies were in the appliance market also... Frigidaire, Philco and Kelvinator come to mind..hence why I keep bringing these commercials up...

Thanks

Chad
