A friend who drives a trash truck ran across an O'Keefe & Merrit gas range in the back of someone's truck, ready for disposal. I don't know how quick it'll happen, but the fellow wants to get rid of it soon. Estimate 1940s or 1950s, appears to be in OK condition except for a knob broken or missing. Sorry, I don't have a picture. I have a name & phone number if anyone is interested. Keep in mind it's in Boling, TX. :-)

Boling, Tx. My uncle used to live near there in New Gulf - he worked for a sulfur plant - I remember visiting as a young (4 yr. old) kid. I don't have room for the stove or I'd jump on it.

Those are fine old stoves, worth restoring and using if you have the type of kitchen that will accept a big stand-alone range. Only drawback from my point of view is the standing pilots for burners and oven. These waste energy... but I understand there are some shops that can convert these to electronic ignition if need be.

I've collected a few Wedgewood gas ranges, in various states of disrepair. Don't actually have the right kind of kitchen for them (cooktop or drop-in range) but I have fond memories of cooking on similar models when I was a teen.
