okeefe & Merritt stove question

Hi all. My friend Ed has an Okeefe&Merritt stove. The model # is F389 and it needs new oven door springs and the stove top needs re-enameld. Is there some place in Az that does enameling? or where to buy these springs? Thanks for any information. Bill in Az

Check e bay for the springs. New Kitchenaids years ago came with 2 sets. The packed in the dishwasher were heavy duty to lift customized wooden inserts. You may also find the right ones at any vintage appliance parts store. I realize you are posting about a stove. You might be able to make something like this work.

If you go to (antiquegasstoves.com), they can replace ANY or all parts on older gas ranges of any brand. You send them the parts and/or model number an they are great in finding, replacing, reporcelainising, and rebuilding gas ranges.

Cut out the middleman and go where the resto businesses go: to John Ballentyne
at Custom Cermaic Coating (618) 475-2710. As an exmaple: a 40" stovetop runs about $300 last time I spoke with him. Highly regarded for their work and can match any appliance color, or do your own thing! Saw an awesome lilac purple Chambers range for example.
