What fun! The LaChoy recipes are interesting--they started in Detroit, interestingly enough but moved out to NW Ohio right after WW2. They had a showplace plant in Detroit that I think is still standing (though disused). Some interesting industrial affairs stuff in the recipe book. Their soy sauce has always been that salty black water industrial type (not brewed like Kikkoman or any brand from the Far East).
 
Can you still buy Sizzlean? My mom used to buy it in the early 80s. It was really good I think she bought it because it was cheaper than bacon.
