Since this forum index is decided for small and miscellaneous appliances, here’s my latest find. A early 1970’s Windsor (manufactured by Lakewood) box fan in a turquoise/robin egg blue color.

Not entirely a fan collector, but always try to snatch these up whenever possible. There will probably be more as time passes on.

Just thought I’d share since it’s something different.

The world famous Lakewood P-23 startup sound is there, but seems to be somewhat faint or it’s just my first time hearing it in real life. Definitely a powerful fan, been using it on low since it’s THAT powerful on the high speed.

Who doesn't like a vintage box fan. I've a vintage Kenmore I use in the summer to help circulate the a/c upstairs. As well as a newer Lasko we use on the back covered patio in the summer on those hot still days

Doesn’t your Kenmore have a thermostat on it or not? Some of them came with a thermostat along with having the ability to reverse to exhaust air out a window or to redirect the air in a different direction if it’s near a doorway for example.

Ahh. More than likely a MOL model. While these older fans would be expensive if they were to be made and sold in stores tomorrow, they would be more than worth it since they’d last a long, long time and could probably get away without having to use the air conditioning until absolutely necessary. Only things they’d need would be a cleaning and oiling every now and again.

Believe Grants Bradford were a rebadged Lakewood with metal grills. Blades may have been painted as well.
