Hi-
Some of you may recall I posted last summer about our wall fridge pooping out as soon as it went up on the wall. We finally got back to the house and the tech we had take a look at it would like to know what the recommended charge is? I didn't know of course, and he asked me to check with you as you may know. He'd like to remove the current refrigerant and refill it so he knows what he is starting with. Sensible to me. The problem, in case anyone wants to offer up other tips, is that the freezer dude is cooling ok, but the refrigerator is not.
Thank you again for your help and advice!
P.S. I have been monitoring the Chicago CL, and the two suitable ones that popped up, the sellers were/are unwilling to separate them from the suite of appliances. (We're in Maryland the fridge is in FL.)

Seems to me if the 'tech' doesn't know what to do, the first thing to do is get another tech.

Can't just blindly swap refrigerants. There are plumbing and lubricant incompatibilities among them.

we had this refrigerator worked on prior to it being moved to Florida. That technician added R12 freon. (Yes- he had R12)It sat for two and a half years before the kitchen was remodeled specifically designed around this refrigerator, as it is a wall hung unit. Once it failed to cool on the refrigerator side, we searched for a local technician to troubleshoot and repair. There is no tag for reference, just the aluminum serial number and model number. (LW11P GE wall hung refrigerator)

This technician did not do the original charge up here, so would prefer to start from his own baseline. He knows to use R12 and I have confidence in him and his approach.

So... Does anyone know the factory recommended refrigerant charge for a LW11 GE wall hung refrigerator?

Thank you!
