Hi, I currently have a 375 watt Oster Galaxie purchased by my parents in the early 70s and was passed down to me a few years ago when my hamilton beach (also a 375 watt) stopped working. I am not satisfied however with the low wattage but I came across an older 10-speed Oster blender from the early 70s that has 980 watts called an Oster cycle blend. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with the older Oster and how they hold up to their modern counterparts.

I agree that the more powerful and very handsome Cycle-Blend is worth grabbing if you haven't already.  Order a "Fusion" blade for it and it will be a fabulously effective addition to your kitchen.

Eternal Life

For sure Tom, except when a wire breaks off and causes blown fuses.  I'm determined to get my chrome single-knob Cyclomatic functional again though, perhaps through examination of wiring on the Cyclomatic I just picked up a few days ago.
