According to AHAM specs-the diffrence in temp inside versus outside with a properly operating airconditioning system is 20 degrees-your unit should be able to make the indoor temp 20 degrees cooler than whats is outside.A good HVAC tech will measure the output temp of the unit before and after repairs-the tech did this when he serviced my unit.most of the time the unit is low on refrigerant.Filling it back usually fixes it.another thing besides filters-are the registers clear?furniture or other things overe them blocks the airflow. If the air can't flow-the unit cannot cool it.I always have something inadvertly put over the registers-I check them before starting the heat or AC.
