"Choice" Magazine
"Choice" has been around for a very long time - I used to read their articles on appliances as a child back in the mid '60s. I suspect they've been around longer than that. They test all sorts of products and their reports are often the first place people go when researching any major purchase.
People used to subscribe to the magazine, which was publised monthly (bi-monthly?). Now everything is online and you can pay per report or become an e-member.
Interesting that you turned up one of their reports half a world away.

Did indeed start in the 1960's. My parents were subscribers then and I subscribed from about 1988-2000 for their magazine and now subscribe on-line.
The magazine is still able to be subscribed to and generally has reports in it a month or so ahead of their availability on the net. You can pop into most libraries and read the hard copy should you wish and the National Library of Australia has every issue available in their catalogue.
