How good were these washers and/or dryers made by a company which otherwise specialized in Radios, TV's and other household electronics?

 

When did they come out, and how long were they on the market for?

 

And also for them, did "The quality (REALLY) go in, before the name went on"?

Zenith Machine Co. of Duluth, MN.?

Robert should be able to verify if this automatic washer was of the Zenith Machine Co., Duluth, MN. This company was not affiliated with Zenith Electronics.

I'm just now restoring a circa 1948 Zenith wringer washer - they were distributed in the U.S. and Canada by Marshall-Wells hardware stores, also with headquarters in Duluth, MN. The link is to my YouTube video of the machine.

I think it was established in a previous discussion that Zenith was one of the automatic washers made  by Beam. For whom is a valid question.
