I've never seen a control panel design like this before and was puzzled.  Looking at the opening, lint filter, dispensers, etc. I wondered if t this was a Norge built washer?   I was surprised to read the Kelvinator name.   Obviously in the 1970's, this (TOL model?) must have been the end, or near the end of Kelvinator?   Was this a Norge, or if not, who built it?

My guess is that it's along the lines of Gibson.?? Not sure to made them. Think this was the famous angle wing agitator with multiple vanes, 10, at the top and bottom and indexing tub. Lint filter was similar to GE's famous Filter-Flo. This washer looks to have a larger capacity than their famous X-Centric action washer. But don't quote me on this!! LOL. I heard, or read, this washer's performance wasn't all that great on large loads. Maybe someone here can give a better review. Was it a quiet running washer? I remember seeing a similar washer, Gibson, at a department store that was set up for demo, and truthfully, I wasn't all that impressed. I heard also they didn't last very long.

I recall these models at a local furniture/appliance store during that time period.  No experience with the operation.  My guess, Franklin or WCI mechanicals.

I definitely wish there were washers made like this today--although I don't care for the lint filter design, enough that even if it had to be self-cleaning, (or why not a top of the agitator-mounted one?) I would buy this just for the control panel layout...

I am sure that with her living in Florida she was grateful for the perforated tub design.   A lady told me about living in Florida with a WO-65 and the problem with sand disposal. She said the only thing she could do was hang stuff out to dry and beat the sand out of it when dry.  I would hope that there was shaking of items to be laundered before washing. I remember that we did that especially with throw rugs and gardening clothes and throw rugs were taken to the coin laundry.

IDK, it sure looks like a Norge-built machine to me. The famous burp-a-lator lint filter gives it away.

This was a WCI product (Franklin design) with the angel wing agitator. It had a pump recirculating filter into the pan, the center section was fabric softener dispenser.

Here is one from Canada, same machine but a MOL model instead of TOL like the POD Kelvinator.

<span style="font-size: 14pt; color: #008000;">Obviously the panel and switch at the bottom of the console means that this Kelvinator is a "luxury light-up" (an old line of Rockola jukeboxes) so I'd buy it regardless of how well it works or who made it.</span>
