That one is relatively recent. The "old" Panasonics were built and worked better. I had a 1973 Pana TT. The impeller was offset. It didn't make a tangle tornado but a very effective top/bottom turnover. The interiors were plastic but the cabinet was still enameled steel. Dearly wish I still had it.
Have a new chinese Panda instead. $250US. Functionally the same, ALL plastic (not that there's anything wrong with that, can't rust), but it knots sheets such that a Portuguese sailor would envy. Otherwise very similar. Standalone motor pump. Direct drive spin, belt/pulley wash.
That I know of, Pana never sold the TT to the US mainland. I got mine in Hawaii. I can't find any reference to Pana TT today outside Asia/Arabia.
