Out of curiosity I Googled Panasonic Twin Tub prices.
Philippine peso 6999 which works out at abound €139!!
A Philippians based online shopping site was in English so came up. I'm sure the prices are similar in Thailand.
You can see why these machines are popular in places with lower income levels - they're a very affordable way of getting access to a domestic washing machine.
It's the same reason they were popular in postwar Britain too - automatic machines remained seriously unaffordable in the 50s and 60s to a lot of consumers. Incomes rose rapidly and machines also became a lot cheaper as automatics became more popular. So the humble twin tub Hoovermatics and similar vanished.

That one is relatively recent. The "old" Panasonics were built and worked better. I had a 1973 Pana TT. The impeller was offset. It didn't make a tangle tornado but a very effective top/bottom turnover. The interiors were plastic but the cabinet was still enameled steel. Dearly wish I still had it.
Have a new chinese Panda instead. $250US. Functionally the same, ALL plastic (not that there's anything wrong with that, can't rust), but it knots sheets such that a Portuguese sailor would envy. Otherwise very similar. Standalone motor pump. Direct drive spin, belt/pulley wash.
That I know of, Pana never sold the TT to the US mainland. I got mine in Hawaii. I can't find any reference to Pana TT today outside Asia/Arabia.
