We are saddened to report that Teresa died early this morning. (Wednesday, October 17) Fan Club President Bill Munroe has informed us that Ms. Brewer died at her home in New Rochelle, N.Y. of a neuromuscular disease that has rapidly progressed in recent months.

Teresa’s four daughters were with her just prior to her death. One of her daughters has been quoted as saying that “the angels in heaven are singing more strongly now.” How very true.

Teresa

was a post WW2 hitmaker popular with the 20-30 year old set.
If she ever appeared on Laugh In it was only as a guest spot,
I don't recall that being a regular feature of Laugh In

Teresa had a string of hits in the 50s on Coral Records. In the early 60s she signed with Phillips Records. After Phillips, she was on various other labels throughout the 70s and 80s. My favorite albums by her were Terrific Teresa Brewer (a country album); The Ballad Side Of Teresa Brewer: Moments To Remember (tribute to writer Willard Robinson); Golden Hits of 1964 (tribute to singers of 1964); and of course, Teresa Brewer's Greatest Hits.

The ballad of lover's hill

My favourite Teresa Brewer song was the ballad of lover's hill, thankfully my favourite radio station 2.C.H. play it fairly rugularly and actually on saturday night I think they are doing a tribute show to her.
