I cant believe my luck!!! I managed to score the last bag of Persil Gold Plus from a local delicatessen who rather sadly are not going to stock it any longer.
Although I cannot translate the German instructions it seems to be formulated for lower and even cold water washing going by the pictures all over the packet.
I t actually wasn't too bad value either $35.00AU for a 6kg bag which worls out to $5.85 per kilo, not that much different to common brand names available here.
Looking forward to trying it out although I had better try to make it last as long as possible.

If you only knew....

....just how JEALOUS I am right now....

Was the deli in Five Dock by chance?

...and does anyone else know where we can get these products in Oz?

No not Five Dock

Hi Chris, no it was in Liverpool near where I live, I do know you can get the British Persil Non-Bio formula from a store called treats from home who stock only British made goodies,I think you can also get Ariel and Lenor fabric softener from them.
You can order online from them at their website which is www.treatsfromhome.com.au.

I was in....

..Treats From Home on Friday at lunchtime...

They also have regular Persil for $45 for 4.5kg....I don't think this is 2x as our detergent is now, BUT, because we have soft water, we can get away with the minimum soft water dosage...had I had teh car with me I would have bought some...

Results so far

Well we have done a couple of loads with Persil Gold Plus and I am pretty impressed, cleans really well and also does seem to rinse out quite well.
Did a load of everyday clothing i.e. shirts, t-shirts, pants etc and one t-shirt of mine had food stains on the front,(okay I dont eat at the table, I sit in my recliner chair watching t.v. and had a few spills on my t-shirt.), Persil cleaned them out with no Napisan or pre-wash spray needed.
Then did load of underwear, also cleaned extremelty well and again with no pre-wash spray or Napisan soaker.
Must try to make it last so only used 2/3 of a scoop for the underwear and 3/4 scoop for normal load, which is actually less tham recommended dose, but I always use a bit less anyway.
Cheers.
Steve.
