Hey Guys

Morrisons are currently doing 50 wash boxes of Persil Bio or Non Bio powder for £5.75- worth stocking up me thinks :)

Off topic but....

Hey Austin
Your Miele is converted to 13A right? Any chance you can tell me how long a cottons universal with 2 rinses and cold fill takes as Im curious to know compared with our 25A version at work. A Universal 40 with 2 rinses is 56 mins on that :).

I have altered all the parameters of the cottons cycle for example
40c cottons with 3 rinses set on Intensive with water plus is supposed to take 2 hours.
Yes it seems twice as long as yours but your right mine works on 13amp so only 1 heater is on I also have it set for cold water only as thats whats available as yours no doubt uses hot water with 30amp supply that means 2 x 2.5 kw heaters working makes yours a very quick washer.
I like it taking a bit longer so it does not bother me I had an Aqualtis before and on normal 40 cycle it was near to 3 hours...:) The Miele is still quicker.

Sorry to have waffled Austin..

Cold Fill...

Hey Austin

Although hot water is connected to ours its set to only use cold, the reason being its only designed for hot water to a maximum of 60C and ours can be much hotter, sometimes 80c+

I have looked into increasing the wash time, but the ammount of laundry we get its not practical.....

Another Question- the power button....

Austin

Ours(The PW6065 Sluice) has the power button above the door release- where is the power control on yours?

Seamus

The power button

Is not there !

I believe my model although the same as yours does not have one as it switches itself off after not being used for so long, It goes into standby mode the display goes dark and the start button just flashes slowly if I am not going to use it again for a while I turn the plug off.

Mine has 2 sluice cycles which the instructions said were not there as it has a pump and not a gravity drain but they are there and yes they work brilliantly when the dog had a mishap :)

In your situation where I think they are made for the job they perform really well in mine they are outstanding because its the only FL with every option you can think of lol. My machine is no doubt on holiday compard to yours with all the work it does. But then I have 5 twin tubs to choose from as well :)

Seamus-- I buy the 50 wash-size boxes of UK Persil Bio powder from the BritSuperstore online. Unfortunately, with the ridiculous price of shipping, each box costs nearly $50. I generally buy three boxes at a time. It's the best detergent I've ever used, and it rinses out very well in my super-soft water. Glad to see you can get it on sale!
