Wow, that is in beautiful shape.

Where are the evaporators in chest freezers, and where would the frost accumulate?  How do you defrost one?  Is there a drain?

Deep-Freeze was an independent brand name. They marketed the first home freezers. They were round and had a lift off round lid like a wringer washer. They were sold as single units for $225.00 with the compressor in a rectangular box beside the unit or in "double tub" configuration for $300 with the compressor between the tubs, according to a report on page 58 of the October, 1940 issue of House & Garden. The freezers could maintain a temperature of zero degrees Fahrenheit at room temperatures of 115 and could be set to as low as minus 20F for flash freezing non-frozen food. Later, the company also marketed electric ranges with the Deep-Freeze name.
