Lawrence:

Nice-looking range, but I really am looking for a GE from the '60s or '70s, because the self-cleaners are very well-insulated and therefore excellent bakers.

Also, the burner configuration is important to me - this Philco has only one large burner and three small ones. I really want to get back to having two large burners and two small ones, so that two large pots or pans can be going at once. With only one large burner, you're a little limited.

But thanks for bringing this to my attention!

My Amana range with the micro-thermal oven is derived partly from this range design. John explained how the Raytheon Corp got the Philco range stuff in some buyout/takeover and I have to tell you, the oven is very poorly insulated.
