I was going to try and put some pictures into my photo album, but it tells me that I am trying to upload a file exceeding 3000 bytes, and it won't upload the picture. I really have no idea what its doing, or how to work with it. I would really apprecie any help with this.

Compact...

Simply load your pictures into any editor and save as a lower resolution file. The website has a limit on photo size to save on disk space. However, newer digital cameras take pictures of larger and larger size.

If you don't have a photo editing or resizing packages, there are a number that are free on the web. Wait a few and someone here will tell you what they are. I use an ancient Microsoft Image Composer because it was fast and easy. Photoshop is of course on the high end, but there are a bunch that are easy to use.

You need to reduce the file-size of the picture with photo editing software. Any combination of the follwing: crop out excess background, shrink the size (resize 1024x768 pixels to 800x600, for example), or save it as a .jpg with slightly higher compression.

Adding a picture to your club photo album uploads (copies) the picture (file) from your computer's hard drive to the hard drive of the web server that runs this site. There's a limit to how much storage space is allowed for each member's photo album, and a limit on the file size of individual pictures is also enforced.

I found out that the Kodak program the came with the camera will do it, after I tried a few things and found were to go. It will actually let me reduce the picture quality to make the file smaller. I guess our camera takes big picture files, but I also have it set on taking the highest quality pictures.
