Interesting collection of pictures from vintage common laundry rooms of Swedish multi-family housing.

I want one of these washing machines! Seeing there is a huge extractor (spin dryer) just off to the side guess these washers either didn't spin that fast or maybe not at all.

In 1969 my father got into the dry-cleaning/laundry business. The shirt laundry had two large front load washers that did not extract the clothes at all. They did reverse direction when washing, but the shirts came out sopping wet and were put in an extractor that spun the clothing at well over 1000 rpm. They were dry enough to wet press them. I think that is probably the type of washers these are, since it looks like they are probably from the 50's or there a bouts.
