When I was a teenager, our neighbor, who was like a second mother to me had a Kenmore Vis-a-matic wringer washer that was identical to the one in the post. When it stopped working in about 68’, her husband put their old Maytag square tub wringer from the 1930’s back into service. I learned to use a wringer washer from watching Bev.
They lived in an old house, that had been a hotel during the times of stagecoaches, and their home had been a stagecoach stop. The washer was out on the backporch, The Kenmore had a pump, but the old Maytag didn’t, and she would just gravity drain it off the backporch
