Then I suspect you should come forward and document the condition of these machines, if they were in excellent condition they’re worth every penny of $2000 for the pair for somebody that wants them I would Pay that in a heartbeat if I didn’t already have aA900 pair that’s fully restored which is close enough given the amount of room we have at the museum.
From what we can see the cabinets look to be in excellent condition so they could be in great condition. Inside, they could be fully restored or they could be just unused.
In any event, they would make a great addition to anybody’s vintage automatic, laundry collection, they would not make good daily drivers as the capacity is low, and Maytag made a lot of improvements as time went on these early. Maytag were very prone to getting out of balance until they beeped up the suspension With the 06 series.
