All very nice.  Nothing against GE products from that same period, but it's refreshing to see early 60's built-ins from another manufacturer.  I've never seen that lightning bolt symbol (between cooktop controls) before, and am not sure of its implication.

The refrigerator sure looks nice on the outside.  I wonder if it's as tricked out as the late 50's one documented in another thread.

That is pretty awesome to be able to build a matching kitchen set! And in color, no less! To date the appliances, does anyone know when they dropped the 'RCA' from Whirlpool? Was it when RCA sold Whirlpool, and when was that? The fridge that I just got in the other thread is a 1957, it is an RCA Whirlpool; my family had an 'RCA Whirlpool' fridge, looked newer than this pink one, that they bought new in 1960.

I like that the knobs have a starburst design on them. I wish they would put the same amount of thought into today's appliances.

I think that lightning bolt on the right is to designate the cooktop as electric (versus gas). Obviously, looking at it would draw one to the same conclusion. :)

The other thing I thought was that it might be a lens that illuminates when any range top element is switched on.

It's hard to tell if it's black paint or a dark lens that lights up red.

Refrigerator shell pink; oven not so?

That does look like a nice fridg - not a good seller who won't reveal the interior - would you buy a house by the exterior, a car, or a stove? Just makes me suspicious and suggests it could be dirty, missing parts, or damaged. Is infuriating an appropriate response to CL sellers who won't give detailed photos?

When I was in the market for a mini fridge to use in our office room, I found one on CL but the ad contained only an exterior shot.  I contacted the seller and requested dimensions and an interior picture and she was happy to provide them.  I ended up buying the fridge.

Sellers need to understand that it saves time for all parties involved when they provide additional information and photos.  I don't want to drive across town only to find that something isn't in acceptable condition.

i talked to the seller about the fridge.....

....and asked them about dimensions and interior pics but only gave me dimensions. They told me it would make a great beer fridge but i said I wanted a kitchen fridge....i asked how the condition was inside and they told me it needed a cleaning but it works and that I should come look at it (again no pics).....hmmmmm....
