In 1959, my parents got their first automatic dishwasher. It was nearly identical the Roll-o-matic one in today's POD, though it was branded as a Frigidaire. I'm thinking that it may have been manufactured by D&M. Though it was necessary to rinse items before loading, it was still better than washing by hand.
