Here's an ad that would have created all kinds of trouble from the religious right. The kid holding the dog is prety much on display. Is the fabric really that thin? Was it spritzed by someone? Is the dryer not working? Wouldn't this photograph have merited new underwear for all of them? Did someone who arranged this group for the picture pose him like this on purpose? Did it suddenly move to the foreground just before the flash went off? What did his siblings think after everyone saw the picture? Did it lead to some hard questions among the kids? I wonder if this was the same photographer that Sears used for its Fall/Winter catalog 1974 or 75?
