OK, I've seen one of these in a collection in 2002. Cycles 13 & 14--Super Wash cold and Super Wash warm--where are those on the control panel?

Magic Darren comes thru again

Missed this when you first posted. It's awesome. What a drop-dead amazing washing machine.

Did you read how you're supposed to load it? WAIT TILL IT"S FULL OF WATER. Holy hell. That's my favorite way. And that's the way it was always done in conventional washing--wringers & spinners. I wonder who else in the club sometimes fills first and adds the load during agitation. It'd be cool to see who else.

I love the "HOLD" switch, another holdover form the LK Visimatic.

But, good man Darren, I can't make out how to "Turn the machine off." That line is missing. Can you remember what it said?

(Also, I found a pic of the brass adapter for your basement. I'll post it later on the "Holy Saturday" thread.)

Thanks again for a great lunch time read of a spectacular scan.

You de man, you de man, you de man!

Jimmy from Canton had/has this set up and running ( atleast he did 2 years ago) The timer makes great buzzing-clicking-whirring sounds as it advances to the cycle selected. JEB

"The timer makes great buzzing-clicking-whirring sounds.

Still all gaga over this washer. Now, after what Jeb said, even more so. How 'bout the fact, along with everything else, like the side-mounted switch to conserve hot water, it's also "souped up" with detergent & softener all ready loaded and ready to shoot!. If ever there was a dream machine........

This model is a prime example of why I love washing machines so much and why I so envy the younger members who have this site so early in their lives to enjoy before middle age and then senility set in ;->

1960 LK WASHER

Jimmy in Canton LKs are 1959 models I still think Greg has the only 1960 LK washer I think someone out west also has a 1960 LK dryer. I also have a pair of 1959s and Ted also has a 1959 washer. It would be neat if the club could start an appliance registry that would list what each member has cross referenced to thier online name. I belong to the Lambda car club and they cross reference all the members and thier cars it can be really helpful. When I was interested in a particular car a few years ago I just went to the membership list and talked to other owners of the same car and a member turned me on to a great deal on the car I wanted.
