Well, I hope y'all had a happy and tasty Thanksgiving yesterday.

Mine kicked off in a rough way when I dug out the "Thanksgiving Only" china to find two huge edge chips on a platter and a serving bowl. I looked through the china cabinet and found the missing fragments, each about the size of a dime and each an excellent fit into the chip that they belong to.

Can anybody recommend a specific type or brand of glue to get these pieces fixed? Neither go into the oven, and the chips don't contact the food. I'm thinking about superglue, but would like a more informed opinion.

BTW, it's the old Metlox Della Robbia pattern in harvest colors. It's not expensive, but I'm just irked because last year somebody just stuffed the china back in the closet, and the edge chipping was completely due to careless handling.

I've used a glue called 'China Weld' successfully in the past - that stuff is even dishwasher-safe! However, the last time I looked for it up here in the Canadian wastelands, I could no longer find it. With any luck it's still available in the US. I hope it is, because this glue is really good and I am still using items repaired with it over 10 years ago now.
