How in hades could I resist when I saw all these little beauties on the $1.99 rack, especially the Veg-o-matic. I've never had one before nor a Dial-o-matic, and now I've got two of those, they're both different though? The Miracle Chef orange one isn't Popeil but I remember them always selling them at the fair, probably still do.
The Veg-o-matic still had the original sales receipt in the box. The buyer bought two just before Xmas at Simpsons-Sears here in Canada for $6.99 each and then got a $2.00 staff discount. Unfortunately there's no year date but I'm guessing 70's early 80's,, Simpsons bankrupted in the mid 80's and Sears remained after that in Canada.
