If any of you are watching the President's Cup golf tournament, it's taking place out by the ocean in San Francisco. You can tell it's a cold, overcast day here. Even here 30 miles or so inland, it's cold and overcast as well. But yesterday the sun peeked through by mid-afternoon, so maybe it will do the same today even out at the ocean.

The Blue Angels are also scheduled to give their second day of air shows out at Fisherman's Wharf area in conjunction with Fleet Week. It would be cool if they were to do a fly-over in the middle of one of Tiger Woods' putts, but I doubt they will have the cojones for that ;-).

Yesterday's Blue Angels show was canceled due to overcast conditions. We took a jaunt over to Santa Cruz and the marine layer was just off the coast. By the time we were done with our late-ish lunch on the wharf, the clouds were beginning to block the sun again. I think the Blue Angels could be grounded again today. So much for Fleet Week this year.

Too bad about the Blue Angels. They should hold that thing in Oakland or San Jose, where it's usually a bit sunnier than SF ;-). On the other hand, I've got way too many chores to do at home this weekend so I wasn't planning on attending the Fleet Week events anyway.

I wondered why I didn't hear the jets yesterday. I understand they did practice on Thursday off the SF waterfront and that wowed the office workers. It was sunnier then.
