The electric version looks like "HAZEL'S" in turquoise when she had the brown stove and refer. The DW has a rotating top rack but I can't get a good look at the control panel. I don't think its a DM version. Latch and dial layout look like the Preway.

the electric model is made by D&M.  The same as the American Kitchen's impeller with the roto rack.  Toward the end of Sears' impeller dishwashers, theirs had the upper rack feed like what's shown here.

Preway Electric: I was surprised that anyone was still using an impeller as late as ‘63. Figured everyone had switched to a wash arm by that time. Never fail to learn something new here.

Preway Gas: I can’t imagine having to lay glassware sideways in the upper rack and I’ll bet loading cookware was interesting, but the side-mounted wash arms are a trip!

"Handy Detergent Dispenser" According to the picture is it a screen cup in the front corner of the lower rack. Of course with water heating capabilities like that, you can get away with one wash.

Does anyone remember the Sears 240 volt dishwashers that offered optional 180F water for the second wash and final rinse? It had an uninsulated tank so you could probably use the cabinet next to it as a warming oven.

1966 LKM 24" 230 volt DW 180F

Yes there is a brand new one of these DWs in the museums line up waiting to be connected and used.

Keven in Long Beach Ca. did indeed find this and sold and shipped it to us.

Even better is we also have a Preway gas DW like the one in the ad that will get hooked up at the museum as well. [ don't tell anyone that these gas DWs were not vented outside ]
