Yesterday the baking element in my Kenmore electric oven burned out. The thermostat kept clicking momentarily and trying to heat the oven, but the element wouldn't turn on. The broiler element works as it should. I'm hoping it's not difficult to fix since the stove is only three years old. Can someone provide pointers on how to change the element? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Unplug the range. There should be a couple of screws that hold the element to the back of the oven cavity. Remove the screws, and pull the element out far enough to be able to remove the 2 wires attached to the element. Buy new element, reverse above proceedure.

Thanks, Jessie, for the instructions. There's nothing printed in the owner's manual, not even schematics, on how to do this so I appreciate it :-). I ordered a replacement element yesterday from Sears and it should be here by next Wednesday. This will be a project after I return from our family Christmas gathering at the end of the month.
