Progress On Robo-Call Relief

Help Support :

Over a year ago I saw a post by Revvinkevin about Nomorobo, I signed us up for it and what a relief! Since we have Comcast Voice when any call comes in and the TV is on the number and callers name is displayed on the screen. Nomorobo dumps 99% of all these annoying calls, occasionally one slps thru, but since we have the display I don't answer any call when I don't recongize the caller. This has been the most pleasant election season we've ever experienced, at least as far as calls for surveys and begging for dollars goes. Thanks again Kevin for the tip. I highly recommend this service to anyone who's phone service supports the Nomorobo system.

Nomorobo

You are more than welcome Eddie, I'm happy to hear it's working well for you too!

The majority of the time my phone will ring once and that's it, Nomorobo takes care of the call.   My phone will display "missed calls" and I usually get between 4 and 7 per day.   Once in a while I'll get surprised when the phone actually rings a 2nd time and I'll realize "Oh, it's a real call, I guess I'd better answer it!"

Yes, I should have stated "relief measures for POTS subscribers . . . "

Ain't no Nomorobo allowed on real deal self-powered telephone service.

I haven't had too many lately, a few months was getting lots of political survey calls. If I happen to see the number come on the TV and I don't know it, I don't answer. I never get these calls on my cell phone though.

Haven't had any lately, biggest problem lately is answering to hear nothing on the line and then just a click.

Several weeks ago I got calls from some "company" telling me I was having a problem with my computer network and that they were monitoring it. I told them they must be kidding. It got into a "battle" where I would hang up the phone and then they would immediately start calling me again and again. They called 5 times in 10 minutes. I would answer and it sounded like they were blowing into the phone. It was crazy.
