I have a Maytag 206 and I wanted to ask about out-of-balance switches.
It was my understanding that if the tub went out of balance, the swing of the upper tub would impact a lever that would push out the control knob and stop the machine.
Mine was SERIOUSLY out of balance the other day and it failed to stop.
Do I have my wires crossed some where? Am I thinking of another brand? Am I thinking of a higher-end machine?
If I'm wrong on all counts does Maytag have an auto-off out of balance switch at all? Across all years and models?
Thanks[this post was last edited: 8/6/2016-22:33]
