R.I.P. Mrs. Carter.,

This is one of my favorite episodes. Nothing was better for getting rid of blues then Designing Women and Golden Girls for me.

Rest In Peace Dixie.

OH NO....She has a home not even 8 miles down the road on the lake I saw her all the time in her yard on my Sea-doo she always waved and have met her quite of few times at the gas station she was always so nice NEVER stuck up.I love that show when she does her terminator mode..Raydon your the guy that comes up to ask about this book and that and RAYDON you and all the other men dont know that sometimes woman want to be left alone thank you RAYDON..The lights have gone out for me she and Delta made that show so funny.R.I.P. Dixie Carter....

The classic example

of a Southern Women. Not afraid of speaking of her mind, can curse you out with a smile of her face, has a strong faith, willing to help her fellow man, would do anything for her family, and probably the best cook around. RIP Dixie.

So sad.

I just saw her on television about two weeks ago.
I thought she look fantastic!
What a loss.
You just never know.
Many years ago (about 25 years) I was working part time at a classic downtown exclusive store called Pickett's in Chattanooga. It was the kind of store that if you liked and item, you saw a model come out and model it for you. Dixie came in to buy Christmas presents for her friends and staff. She was so nice and wonderful. You never brought up her fame because she made up for it making you feel so special. She was a classy Southern Gal. No other way to explain it.
I have read that she died from uterine cancer. Such a fast spreading and can be very painful cancer.
I hope she did not suffer.
She was such a classic girl and beautiful human.
Time is so short folks for all of us.

I was in total shock when I heard of her passing. Like everyone else, I LOVED her in Designing Women. I forgot about that episode Autowasherfreak posted up about the young man with AIDS. That brought a tear to my eye seeing her stick up not only for people with HIV/AIDS but for all of us homosexuals. I somehow think she was probably that outspoken in real life like she was on that show. I just wish I could have had an opportunity to meet her.

RIP, Julia Suagarbaker (Ms. Carter), i always enjoyed her wit. I always like the espisode when Suzanne was involved with the Circus. Julia quipped, " I am afraid you are mistaken my sister does not use pastey glue". Dixie thanks for all the laughs. alr2903
