I was informed by a friend today that this beautiful old Hobart AM-9-T2 dishwasher had failed and was taken out of service. This was due to no parts available to fix it. I had wanted to keep the machine as a collector piece and or send it to the Appliance Museum in Beltsville but it has been recycled. This dish machine served the local VFW for 51 years as their daily driver. I used it hundreds of times and it was in use on my wedding day at said VFW. I have not seen the replacement dishwasher but have heard it is a low temp POS.
Here is the link to a video of a dish machine many of us have come to know.

Thanks John:

I had really hoped to grab that machine for the Museum (Yes I know a pass through dishwasher would not fit on the wall)LOL. But anyway thanks for the kind words and WOW! 51 years as a daily driver. Just shows how well an appliance can be made when someone wants to do the job right.
