just posted in pre '85 washer forum.
I'm an appliance nut.
I remodled my moms kitchen in '76, while she was away, as a suprise, with my father.
I was about 14 or 15 but dad let me have at it.
Frigidaire "Refreshmet Center" refer, top freezer, cool dispensoer with TWO copartments that mixed concentrated things, ie Zarex etc with water, for two "Beverages" besides water and ice, and then
the Touch 'N Cook range, all touch pad with white cermic surface.
In fact I rescued a corning CounterRange, cooktop that was cracked from a friend, and had dad repair it, put it in our Kitchenette in the new rec room Circa, '75

Friends of ours had a Frigidaire refreshment center fridge, and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.

Those early ceramic cooktops, not necessarily sold on those. Lived in an apartment with one and it was slow and difficult to keep clean. Because of that experience, I swore I'd never have a glass-top electric. As it turns out, I love my 2002 Frigidaire range with a black glass-top.

I had the Touch n Cook range and The refrigerator that talked back to you. A Custom Imperial 20 3 door side by side.A Super Surge Custom Imperial dishwasher,A Trash Compactor,and Crown Washer and Dryer. All in poppy red.I had them during my 6 years in Ft.Lauderdale,FL and got the entire ensemble from the Finklesteins' (owners of IHOP)yaught in miami that I redesigned and selected all of the new KitchenAid appliances for.Ms Finklestein hated the poppy and rarely used the appliances.the washer and dryer were intact and never used.They still had all the paperwork and shipping parts inside them!I also got a Caloric gas incinerator from their house in BocaRetan.Great customers and many fun visits out on their yaught while I got to play with all the new K'Aid toys they bought.

I still have a Frigidaire Refreshment center 'fridge. Really haven't decided what I'm going to do with it. Right now it's sitting in a storage unit.
