My friends parents had one of those in the 70's.. I was itchin to play with it but was in the closet about such things at the time  LOL

The biggest problem is

Aside from MMs abysmal quality,,When the DW quits and you replace it, if you use a plastic tub machine, the heat from the cooktop will melt it!!!!

Those were God sent for limited space in a mobile home, which is what they were made for.

Looks like the ideal D-W to put below would be whatever high-dollar Bosch-type of unit--stainless steel, inside & out...

 

And you could probably get the burners & possibly even the oven to keep working...

I don't recollect ever seeing MM appliances being sold in a store, not that could have been elsewhere. It seemed the only places I ever saw any was in new build homes so I've assumed they were mainly wholesaled to builders and developers.

I have seen a couple in small Capitol Hill townhouse rehabs.

I remember the MM products being sold through builders' supply and lumber dealers in the mid 1960's.
