I just got an E-Mail supposedly from E-Bay, asking me to update my Credit Card Account info, or I would be banned from being able to Sell or Bid on E-Bay. I certainly didn't think that it was actually from E-Bay, so I contacted E-Bay, with attaching the E-Mail I had received. They replied "gratefully" right away, letting me know that it was in deed a fraudulant E-Mail sent to me, asking such info.

Please be careful about similar E-Mails and take caution. If your in doubt as I was, please contact E-Bay and have them check further, before you Jepordize any of your Credit Card Accounts and end up with Money either taken out or items being Charged to them Illegally.

Same case with stuff pretending to be from your bank, and phone calls from alleged creditors re "overdue bills", and so on.

Also in some urban areas, identity-theft rings pay homeless people who scrounge through household recycling-bins, for any "personal information" they find in the refuse bins. So here's another appliance we should all be keen on having: a cross-cut shredder, for *anything* that has our name on it. Signs of the times....

LOL, well, it's pretty obvious a scam is going on when I get a email from a bank I don't use and of which I've never heard, frantically advising me of a security breach and please log in ASAP to update my information.

As If . . .

scam-mail

I always delete that &%$# and mark it as spam without ever reading it. I figure if e-bay or my bank, etc. want to get in touch with me, they will send me a letter.

Trust no one >:/

Trust your family & friends, trust your conscience, delete all spams, shred all documents before putting them in the bin, and if you ever meet a spammer in person, puke on his shoes.
