"Hello" my Club Member Friend's, thanks to Unimatic1140 helping me with advise and suggestion's as to how to do this the correct way, I've got listed below some of my Collection. It is being listed, because I have "An Offer That I Hope You Can't Refuse" from this. I'm in a situation that within the next few months of loosing my Collection, because of a problem with not being able to afford Storage Rental any more. It was either do this, or these Machine's are going to either go to the Thrift Stores or to the "Crusher" and I'm not wanting either to happen to these if I can help it. What my offer is on these, whomever is interested in any or all of these Machines, if you are able to pay the Shipping & Handling, that is all that I'm asking for these. Due to my short time of need to take care of this matter, I'm not asking any other amount to help me out, just as mentioned for you to pay the Shipping & Handling only. It would have to be paid totally thru you, I don't even have any extra Money to be able to pay up-front and wait to be reimbursed. Please let me know if your interested and able to help out.

Peace and best to everyone, Steve

Washer & Dryer Collection Listings

Possibly late 30’s or early to mid 40’s Round Tub Maytag Wringer Washer. It hasn’t been operated for quite a long time, but it still worked in late 80’s or early 90’s when my Neighbor owned it, before she Passed-Away. It has the Red Knob to activate the Agitator and a Red Pressure Release for the Roller’s.

1965 Lady-K {White} Electric Dryer, with Electronic Sensor Drying Drum Bands, Full-Width Load-A-Door with Round Drum Opening and Top Lint Screen.

Late 60’s or Early 70’s {Almond} GE Pot Scrubber Dishwasher, I’ve got a Replacement Water Fill Valve, but haven’t installed it yet. Might need Repair/Replacement Rollers, for moving it around as Portable. Everything else works, as far as I know. It was a Neighbor’s and they got rid of it instead of Repairing, when it quit Filling.

Mid-70’s {Harvest Gold} “GM” Frigidaire “1-18” Washer, with Lid Square Window. Needs Top-Front Spring Clips, Rear Plastic Lock-Down Clips, Minor Repair/Replace Check-Up, Lint Filter, Pulsator Cap, Bleach Cup and a Few Wire’s Repaired/Replaced.

Early-Mid 1980’s {Harvest Gold} Kenmore Gas Dryer, with Electronic Sensor Drying, Full-Width Load-A-Door with Round Drum Opening and Top Lint Screen. I’ve added an External Adjustable End-of-Cycle Signal.

Late 80’s or Early 90’s Whirlpool “DD” {White} Washer and {not exact match} Whirlpool {White} Electric Dryer. Washer might need the Plastic Clutch Parts replaced, other than that, I don’t know for sure if it needs anything else done to it. It was some Friend’s who gave these quite a “work-out” no doubt with some “Overloading” and with 4-Kids. The Dryer might only need just a good “Preventative Maintenance” Check-Up and a real good Cleaning Out

Mid/Late 80’s or Early 90’s Magic Chef Washer & Electric Dryer {Black and Red Writing on Consoles} “Burp-Up” Lint Filter System on Washer. Needs replacement Timer, Fill and Drain Hoses and “TLC” besides Consoles Paint Peeling especially on Left Sides. Dryer needs Door worked on {slightly bent our of shape on edges} either a Repair/Replacement Vent Pipe coming out of Rear
Opening and a real good Cleaning Out and “TLC” of someone to appreciate and enjoy them.

Early 90’s Whirlpool {White} Portable Washer, as far as I know it still works. It was my Mother-In-Law’s that I replaced with a newer GE Portable, when she thought it was broken down, but I ran it at her Apartment and it seemed to work still, but I let her keep the new GE Washer.

Early 90s {White} GE Profile Portable Dishwasher, still works. Was my Mother-In-Laws, but she moved into a smaller Apartment and can’t use it at the newer Apartment.

Early/Mid 90’s {White w/Black Console} Hotpoint Electric Dryer, might only need a real good Cleaning and Roller/Tension Pulley Lube.

Early 90’s Kenmore Portable Washer & Portable 110-Volt Dryer, w/o Stack Stand. Both work real well and they even have what’s left of a 1-Year M/A Extended Warrantee that I’ve kept on them. I was using them until February, when I bought my new “LG” Compact Combo Unit.

Re: Re: Special Offer to Club Member's, Update:

I just wanted to let everyone know that my 1-18 Frigidaire Washer, just got it's new home on Saturday, Dec 18th. Martin 48bencix got it, after we met last week and had Lunch at a nearby Restaurant. We then came over to my house, so he could see it as with part of my Collection, that is on my Patio at this time. When he came to get the 1-18, I reminded him that I had asked him a favor. I asked him if he would allow me to come over to check it out, after he got it operating again.

Now about the rest of my Collection, offered to the Club Member's. I realize that this wasn't really the best timing, right at Christmas, to do this, but with my situation, still coming up with the need to pass some of these onto other's to enjoy and give good homes to, I'm asking if anyone is interested, to please not worry about the next couple of week's. I still have a couple of months until things will start to be getting crucial for me of doing what I need to do and I'm hoping to not have to just "JUNK" any of these Washer's or Dryer's.

I wish everyone a very "Merry Christmas" and a very "Happy New Year" as well.

Peace and Happiness and best to everyone too, Steve

How'bout this: *Lend* the machines to people who promise to use them properly. They get to use them while they have them, and you get them back when your economic situation improves.

Another possibility is to just go for old-fashioned community support and see if anyone here's able to send in some dough to help keep the storage lockers.

Another possibility: Lend the machines to a homeless/poverty services facility or shelter. Make sure the staff members know how to use them properly. The point would be, free laundry for people in poverty, and you'd get the credit for lending them the machines until some corporation donated new ones (presumably by that time your economics have improved so you have a place to put 'em).

Re: Special Offer to Club Member's:

Hey! Designgeek, that would be a good idea, except that all of these need some kind of Repair and I don't even have any extra Money to be able to afford Part's. That is why I was trying to be so generous and also thinking that they would certainly get a real good home with those who would really appreciate getting them. I guess I'm wrong about this Club site, about helping each other out, if this were to be someone with more Vintage Washer's and Dryer's, almost everyone who could afford the Shipping, would jump right away at getting a chance to have some of these that they might have wished to some day find.

I guess I will have to either send them all to a Crusher or see if there is a local 2nd Hand Appliance Shop that would be grateful at getting them to Repair and Re-Sell them to those in need and show others more respect in a time of need.

Peace, but with Regrets, Steve
