Hi guys. These machines seem to be a steal if they really work. I was wondering if they are "Real Maytags: made in Newton before Maytag started turning out junk machines.

The washer is not. It is a Norge/Herrin platform machine. These weren't necessarily bad machines. They are a little bit harder to work on and require a different set of tools that the Newton machines.
I am less certain about the dryer. I THINK this is also a Norge design dryer. These dryers are pretty reliable on the whole and not hard to work on.

Are these that NEW BD WP design--sounds like it.If so how is this design going to hold up to commercial service?
