Doe's anyone here use a pressure washer to clean a major appliance while it is being restored? this is a good idea if you don't and you have one :p

We used one to clean our whirlpool while fixing the drive cupling

No pressure washing here

I've only done D&M style portable dishwashers (which now have become my specialty), and I did have to sandblast the cabinets but never any pressure washing. I take a vacuum cleaner to the interior to clean it of any cobwebs and dirt. I also use electronic cleaner for all wiring, pumps and motors.

I don't pressure-wash my appliances because it might result in damage (my pressure washer is 3700 PSI so I need to watch out what I'm using it on) as well as water in the motor, and because none of them are really filthy.

However, the vacuum is something I can't live without when working on machines. 99.9% of the time I always have one of my old Shop-Vacs on hand when I'm about to remove a back panel, cover, etc...since there are usually cobwebs and other nasty s**t behind them!
