Yep!

That's based on an Amana 22; it appears to be a promotional model and slightly smaller than the 22.

It is lacking the garnish trim on the doors that 22's usually had. They were expensive, TOL fridges, highly coveted in their day. Taking that garnish trim off would have saved Amana some serious money over the course of a production run.

A 22 in typical trim with the garnish strips is below:

Phil:

I'm aware of at least two Amana 22's on '70s TV, which is where most peoples' familiarity comes from:

Emily Hartley (Suzanne Pleshette) had a Harvest Gold one on The Bob Newhart Show.

And in the kitchen of Station 51, Roy DeSoto and John Gage (Kevin Tighe and Randolph Mantooth) used a Coppertone unit on Emergency!. Not that it did anything to improve Gage's cooking....

You guys have me looking at the appliances in tv shows, more so than just seeing noticing a stove and a refrigerator. Now, I'll have to look closer on Newhart. You lost me on Emergency (didn''t watch it, because I usually had enough emergencies going on in my life, anyways - lol)

Phil:

I always thought the use of Amanas on The Bob Newhart Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show was a nice, subtle touch. Both shows were set in the Midwest (something new for TV at the time), and Amana was a preferred "home-grown" brand in the area. Someone knew what they were doing.

And no, Amana was not a sponsor of either show.
