Revco Wall refrigerators with Original Install pics

These things don't seem to crop up very often. This set is in Tulsa...price unknown. Pics of them in their original early 60s kitchen are worth a look, though!

That was a custom home or apartment and I'm studying the wall-oven/fridge location and work flow. I'd have to see the floor plan to get a better idea. I've never seen Revco refrigerators, but living in S.E. Michigan, a store called REVCO became a big chain drugstore that became an LBO target and eventually was absorbed by CVS. So seeing Revco...I thought of the drugstore chain. Did Revco just make refrigerators?

ohhhhhhh, that's very cool! Thank you very much for that link - I've bookmarked it and will savor it later, because I can see "gazing and dreaming" time will easily devour an hour.

Reading that Revco was started as a drugstore in Detroit, Michigan, and Revco refrigerators were started in Deerfield, Michigan...where Deerfield Beach, FLa.'s name originated, it's just a quirky co-incidence both began in Michigan, my home state.

Now you have me asking myself, what else have I missed all these years? LOL!

Those are pretty neat.  

 

But with two separate units, it initially doesn't look like a very large capacity or an efficient use of interior space.

What A Kitchen!

What I wouldnt give for that much space!...I wouldnt change anything except that black oven and dishwasher...put them back vintage coppertone to match the fridge and leave the rest alone!!!

has been for sale for at least 4 months (longer , I think) in Tucson. I remember considering going to see it back in June....$100

That is one beautiful kitchen.  The house across the street from us had those exact same light fixtures in the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and laundry room.  Very 1960/1961!!!
