Probaby everything from Alzheimer's, cardio-vascular disease, and anything else in between.

Human body like most everything else in this world wears out and down after years of use, and not every part is capable of self-regeneration. In short, from the time we are born, the clock starts ticking.

It does seem genetics plays a role. Some persons at 80 are more fit and with it than those in their 40's.

There is of course the fact what one does to the body in one's younger days, plays out in one's dotage.

How do I get in on the race to post obits?? (kidding!!!)

Everyone has their thing. In the typewriter kingdom, the publisher of the journal/magazine 'competitive' to ours was famous for posting pix of headstones of people involved with typewriters!!!

Khan.

Best. Villain. Ever.

RIP Ricardo.

"He will always be Captain Kirk's finest foe, the would-be conqueror who first tried to steal the Enterprise in the classic Star Trek episode "Space Seed" and then finally robbed Kirk of his best friend in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Montalban's magnetic, robust presence; that voice that sounded like a ride over rolling hills -- he made Khan Noonien Singh the worst kind of despot: the kind you're pretty sure you'd die for. The product of a Eugenics program that rendered him stronger and smarter than the average bear, Khan was a tragic figure -- the man who would not be denied, born into a world that did nothing buy deny him his birthright -- and that tragedy is part of what lifts Star Trek II to an almost Shakespearean level.

"Some may choose to remember Montalban as the benign Mr. Roarke, with his white suit and diminutive assistant, teaching life lessons on a mystical island resort, or as the suave movie star romancing Shirley Maclaine in Sweet Charity, helping teach her the ways of the world. Me? I will always remember him, teeth gritted, quoting Moby Dick as he hurls one final benediction toward Admiral Kirk: "To the last, I will grapple with thee...from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!"

"Not the warmest sentiment, I know, but fitting nevertheless."

I was a faithful watcher of Fantasy Island, and Star Trek II is my favorite of the Star Trek movies. I loved his accent.

Khan for me too

Yes I also think Khan was his best role how could one forget that angry look on Admiral Kirks' face as Khan tormented him and then he let out that almighty scream-"KHAAAAANNNN!!!!!"
R.I.P Mr. Montalban

He had quite a discussion

with the Chrysler team about the song, the exact wording and, yes, the stress shifts of the Spanish words.

They wanted exotic in the sense of Man of La Mancha à la Elvis Presley, not Fidel Castro.

Lee Iacocca had nothing but good to say about him in his books when talking about their advertising work.

Cordobas

We had two '77 Cordobas in the family - both originally owned by my Grandmother. The first one had the Corinthian leather bucket seats and I have to say it was some of the nicest leather I have ever seen in a car. Sadly, it was totalled in an accident in '83 and she bought a nice used '77 to replace it. The second '77 hung around until the early '90's.

They were good road cars that handled well compared to most from that era and the 400 4 barrel V8 engine was quick for being a low compression emissions controlled-engine. They were comfortable, quiet, handled well and I always enjoyed driving them.

I miss the old rear-drive American cars...
