New Samsung ventless combination washer dryer

Hopefully the drying will be faster than the LG with the underpowered refrigeration system. This machine is taller and hopefully they put a decent sized heat pump unit in it.

The specs don’t say whether it’s 120 or 240 V I couldn’t figure that out I’m assuming it’s gonna be 120 V as that would be adequate.

It will take a while, but this is gonna make a significant dent in the laundry market worldwide. I believe once people get used to the convenience of being able to wash huge loads without any further attention, and this will be the end of the stinky washer syndrome. Many people have had with front load washers in the past.

Unfortunately, no manuals anywhere yet.

But the warranty terms are interesting.
They warrant the drive motor for an additional amount of time - but the drying system not at all.
GE warrants at least the refrigeration circuit, no idea about LG actually.

Might be a pro for the GE given these aren't yet proofen per se.
However, given how rare compressor issues are on ALL HP dryers over here, even down to the cheapest of cheap, I wouldn't worry to much.

Reply number three, the drying system is certainly warranted for at least a year. The entire machine is, I agree that the compressor is probably the least of your problem. Compressors are extremely reliable today with exception of course of Samsung and LG refrigerator compressors, but this is a bigger unit.

I’d worry more about refrigerant leaks in the sealed system. That’s a big problem with dehumidifiers in general and they use the same type of coils.

The cycle selection is - as always - OK for a Samsung.

Slight disappointment that the Whites Cycle only runs with Steam and a hot temp setting.
The AI wash and dry is interesting - it's AI fabric type sensing only operates on 8lbs or less.

Several dryness settings, but no "Eco" or "Speed" modes like on the LG.

They placed the compartments for the automatic dosing in the bottom of the unit which is a factor to consider.
And no manual dosing of softener either - only bleach via a compartment and detergent via a dosing aid for the drum.

Now just looking forward to reviews on drying time etc.
