I finally got around to the Sanyo SW9010. It's had a rough life. The top is plastic, very brittle. Pump motor gets stuck periodically. Hopefully I'll have time to restore it in the summer.

It's an impeller machine with water recirculation pump system. Duck tape covers places where top has broken away.

Sanyo!

I briefly used one of these in the mid 80's. It washed the clothes very well. If I remember correctly it had 2 deep rinses on the normal cycle and only a spin at the end. Being it used a full amount of water it makes the difference in cleaning. At least compared to todays propeller jobs that should use at least 2/3 of a tub of water!

I know it would be a lot of work....but what about fiberglass/epoxy top and underneath for reinforcement, then light sanding and repaint.......

woud be stronger than new......

Eric...I liked the one I got you and Steve, but don't you wished it had a filter flo to make it close to the big one?....never knew they had this option....is there a seperate pump for this feature, I wonder if one could be added to the GE's

nice machine though...I like the "wash only"...great for soaking
