Finally, the washer gods have smiled upon me.

I'm having some of Graham's luck.

On my way home from work, I spotted a vintage A606 center dial Tag sitting along side the road like a homeless orphan.

I pulled over and talked to the fella--85+ years old--and he said that the machine worked fine, except it needed a new belt.

He turned the machine on its side and sho-nuff--there was a broken belt.

Early this A.M., I got my boys in the truck with me and we picked the machine up.

Pulled my back out (quite unfortunate)--those Tags are purty heavy, but six Advil later and it's in my garage.

The agitator is turquoise and it needs the little fabric softener cup that sits inside.

Can anybody help me out?

Thanks.

Congratulations

I'm excited for your new find. I always check behind Mike's Appliance store to on North Atherton street. They get some oldies in sometimes, try there.

What is your other vintage machine?

Still interested in that 1972 Whirlpool Imperial 80 washer with console light?

Softener Dispenser Cup

Dan:

I see that Kenny has already offered you one in turquoise, so that's cool. Just FYI, the whole lint filter/softener cup assembly is also still available new on most parts sites, but it's white nowadays. Most everything is still available for your machine.

Here's the whole assembly on eBay:
